Your experience Inside a building with no straight lines The Museum of the Future opened on Sheikh Zayed Road in February 2022. Its torus-shaped exterior is wrapped in three bands of Arabic poetry by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, carved as structural openings through the steel facade. Five floors, five visions of the future Your visit moves through five distinct themed worlds. On the OSS Hope floor, you board a space station orbiting Earth in the year 2071. You play the role of an arriving researcher, moving through modules that include a biodiversity vault, immersive virtual reality chambers, and an observation deck overlooking a simulated Earth below. Al Waha places you inside a recreated 2071 rainforest environment designed around future wellness and human connection with nature. Tomorrow Today is a dedicated children's wing with interactive learning stations built around future cities, food systems, and technology. At Futures Lab, you interact with real-world prototypes across energy, mobility, and urban design. The Heal Institute explores the future of human health through walk-through simulations on augmentation and longevity. The deepest floor, The Abyss, addresses long-term existential questions through an immersive dark experience focused on climate and survival.
